North Wales Real Estate: THE top-of-the-table game at Alder Meadow between third-placed Pontblyddyn and second-placed Hawarden Park in the Premier Division of the Readers Romida North Wales Cricket League was finely balanced at the tea interval. Visitors Hawarden Park went in first and scored a useful 207 all out off 54 overs.
The fielding was also top notch with two run-outs.
Mold won the toss at Black Marsh Fields and opted to go in first against fifth-placed Mochdre. Danny Drew was their top scorer with 48, Gareth Evans made 36 not out and David Soothill 26 before Mold declared after 50 overs on 212-9.
Wrexham FC's revamp faces delay
North Wales Real Estate: The firm behind the redevelopment of Wrexham FC's ground has said the scheme is on hold while revised plans are submitted to the borough council. London-based MacNiven Cameron said it was "fully committed" to plans for a new stand, homes and shops and the delay would only be up to six weeks.
Jason Hurkett May, of MacNiven Cameron, said: "We are taking a step back to take two steps forward."
The proposed project, which has been given outline planning permission, includes a new all-seated stand at the Kop end of the existing ground, as well as shops, apartments and a restaurant.
